Les North was a long-time participant and supporter of motorcycle sports within numerous disciplines. In 1935 Les covered 463 miles (745 kilometres) on his motorcycle outfitted with sidecar during the midsummer endurance run, winning the esteemed Dunlop Tire Trophy for the Toronto Motorcycle Club (founded in 1927). The North family has graciously donated the original Dunlop Tire Trophy to the Foundation, which will preserve it in its current condition.
