Mike Crompton to be inducted into the 2017 Hall of Fame
The Board of Directors of the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the Class of 2017. Mike Crompton will be honoured at the 12th annual Induction Banquet and Reunion which takes place November 4th, 2017 at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel.
Mike Crompton is one of the most successful bike builders and tuners to emerge from the Canadian Motorcycle racing scene.
Crompton rose to fame in the 1970s building bikes such as Rocket Robbie Meiklejohn’s Weber-Carbureted Curtis Honda, then prepared machines and eventually managed the programs, for legendary riders such as George Morin, Lang Hindle, Art Robbins, Michel Mercier, Miguel Duhamel, Jamie James, Jordan Szokes and Brett McCormick.
Crompton’s company, Competition Systems, has supported the motorcycle industry in a variety of design and manufacturing methods over the past thirty years. Along the way, Crompton has worked for Yoshimura, American Honda and the factory Canadian efforts of Honda, Suzuki and most recently Kawasaki with 12-time National Champ Jordan Szokes.
